Did Housing.com just do something which other brands couldn't so far?

Using Celebrities to promote your products isn't something new. Celebrities and Influencers talking about your product in conversation or putting a brand mention on social platforms isn't something very new. But Housing.com literally has set new benchmark about how to use celebrities drive an entire campaign via conversation.


Let's have a look how it started


There is a buyer (Rajkumar Rao) and there is a seller (Manoj Bajpayee), one wants a dream house and one wants to sell a house.





While Manoj's tweet rippled conversation on Twitter, personalities like Pankaj Tripathi stepped into take a jibe on help Manoj to find a buyer. Apart from personalities, certain meme pages with immense following joined the conversation to add to the whole conversation. Point to be noted is that there isn't any mention of the brand - Housing.com so far and neither a reaction to both such post.


Few of the media houses stepped in spread the news about Manoj Bajpayee selling his house and finding a buyer, adding to already spread fire.

All this while, Rishab Pant tweet acted as a trump card. While he batting performance was so much in trend that day following the Gabba test, the tweet just added more spice to the whole set. And who else than, Irfan Pathan joining the conversation.



The whole house hunting became the talk of the town with "Gurgaon" trending and media publication covering Rishab's news as well.


Meanwhile, moving back to Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkumar Rao, the conversation happened the next day as well:



Netizens became the match makes meanwhile, and tagged Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkumar Rao to connect with each other while one was looking to sell and later looking at buying the house.


The stage was set for Housing.com brand to step in and reveal to how was the entire house hunting story was built. But just before that, the similar brands poured in their help to these stars to help them find a buyer / seller.

and then finally the brand Housing.com stepped in with it's "fun" commercial starring Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkumar Rao - highlighting the pain points of both Seller and Buy while on a hunt. Have a look at the commercials:
